Oh, apparently you like pictures of Hayden!

Michelle didn't like that Hayden's photos were mixed in with all of my work stuff so I've set up Hayden's own account. Now to upload some recent photos of him so that you can all enjoy! Also, be sure to check out "The Bologna Video". Hayden proves that he is destined for work in front of a camera as he "hams" it up.

Sorry...

Since I can never seem to get new photos up, I'm trying out something new: Flickr. I've uploaded a batch of photos from the past couple months and I'll be sure to upload more. Fingers crossed, this'll mean new updates more often!

Miss Me?

Yes, some time has passed since a new photo has graced this page. We've all moved into our new house and Hayden has been enjoying the new place very much. Lots more room to run; which, of course, he's doing plenty of! Still not much hair but we've had to trim it a little because of the crazy curls in the back. This photo is actually from June. I've got more recent ones coming soon, too!

Amazing-

Today Hayden amazed me. (Well he does all the time) We were playing on the floor. I asked him to go and get his book and bring it to me. And off he went!! He came back as proud as can be, with the book in his hand! My little boy knows the word ‘book’. How amazing it is to see him learn new things!

Walking

He's been taking a few steps here and a few steps there but it would seem Hayden has finally decided that walking is more fun. He giggled with delight walking back and forth across the living room. This video is proof!

Chocolate!

What's a party without chocolate cake? The party was loads of fun. I hope everybody enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you for you generosity, as well. We definitely have one spoiled kid!

We've got lots of new photos up in the photo gallery including a few from a day at the grandparents and, of course, the photos from the birthday party (Part 1 and Part 2).

Almost One

Nope. I still don't believe it. It's completely and utterly astounding. Think back to what you were doing a year ago? Was it much different than what you're doing now? For us, suddenly a year makes a huge difference. Hayden has in one small year gone from baby to boy. He has personality. Loads of it. The things that we see him do are amazing to us. The way he figures out how a toy works. Learning new gestures (hmmm, he seems to have NO down pat). He communicates. He shares. He tells us what he wants and doesn't want. He is independant. He is adventurous. He is so much more at the age of one than I ever expected.

So as the first year turns into the second, I can only imagine what he'll be able to do at his next birthday. But I know I'll enjoy every day of it between now and then.

Oh, don't worry... there's more photos in the gallery: a bunch more from Christmas and a few from spending a day with Grandma and Grandpa. (And there's still a bunch more on the camera so hopefully more soon.)

Adoption Stories

If you haven't had a chance to see it, this may now be your chance! The show is finally being aired on the Life Network on January 13th at 5:30PM.

It has aired a bunch of time in the States and in Canada on the Discovery Health Channel but not everybody gets that channel. More people seem to get the Life Network (channel 45, in Ottawa). Check it out if you haven't already!

Buzzzz

Another month has gone by and I can hardly believe he's already 9 months old. He's cruising around everywhere and his curiousity is getting him into lots of trouble! Hayden got to experience his first Halloween and enjoyed seeing all the kids show up at the door in their costumes.

Mischievious

I know, I know. It's been awhile. We've just been too busy chasing Hayden all over the place to get stuff uploaded! In the past 6 weeks, Hayden has gone from crawling to standing to climbing. He's already trying to go up the stairs. He has a crazy obsession with Oscar the cat, which Oscar doesn't seem to mind. This boy is too cute for words. So no more words, just movies and pictures!

Update: Dancing and crawling (3.8MB) - I just had to upload this one right away! Hayden is doing what he loves to do and that's to play DJ. It cracks me up that instead of crawling around his toy, he crawls through it.
A week after he started crawling (1.2MB) - It's funny to look back on this movie now because these days Hayden is just relentless.
VERY excited in the jolly jumper (5.5MB) - Watch this one with the sound on if you can. It's priceless!

Unstoppable

Hayden is everywhere now! In 3 short weeks he's gone from shaking his butt in the air, to crawling, to pulling himself up onto his feet. At this rate, he'll be walking sooner than we ever expected. Won't we be in trouble then! Well, here's a rather large batch of 41 images to enjoy. I should have some movies up soon, as well.

6 Months old!

It's hard to believe but six months have already passed. It's amazing to see him grow and learn everyday. We've hit some pretty impressive milestones in the past week alone. Yesterday, he crawled on his hands and knees about a foot! Suffice it to say, it's time to baby-proof everything! And the day before that, he said "Hi" to the cat. He got his first two teeth and he has tried a lot of new foods like peas, beans, squash, rice cereal, and oatmeal. The next six months should prove to be just as exciting as the first six.

As you can see, we've launched a new design to honour his six month stage. You can still check out all the older stuff in the archive. Now for the next batch of photos! Not to worry, we haven't slowed down on taking pictures!
