SxSW 2006
The south by southwest festival is back for 2006. Held in Austin, Texas, there is three main components to the festival: music, movies, and interactive. This has been turning into one of the major festivals for the blogging world and while I haven't been before, I hope to make it out this year.

SxSW needs more Canucks!
Oh God I hope so. I missed out last year but I would love to go this year.

Lucky for me, I'm moving to Austin in a few months. I will undoubtedly be there.
oh yeah! I'm even thinking of registering early for the discount. Two weeks ago I was wearing my SxSW 05' shirt and had a nice conversation with a random guy who was there for the music festival.
Needless to say, I'm thinking of staying for more than the interactive session.
.... and no 2hr commute to my sisters place in Hamilton TX this time. I'm going for a hotel!
I'll be there, it's the one thing I don't miss every year.
I'll be there also. Getting time off is non-negotiable (though this time, I'll be my boss, so it's a bit easier).
My new job allows for "continuing education" allowances, so I'm hoping I can convince them that somehow SXSW fits into that category. It's a little early to say, as my first day isn't until Sept 12th, but I think it'd be awesome to kick it in Austin for a few days. We could all wear 9rules hats. heh.

I'm hoping to be there next year, the 2005 event was great, although this year I may have to share a hotel room.
The cost of registration is great, but flights and hotel add up...
